In addition to scheduled rigorous systems to reduce and monitor pollutant emissions, a range of measures will also be implemented to ensure that terrestrial, air, aquatic and marine environments are not affected.
Vale Inco Nouvelle-Calédonie will report recorded results to the environmental monitoring committee.
Vale Inco Nouvelle-Calédonie will also regularly forward results from environmental monitoring programs at the behest of the relevant administrative authority, the Office of Classified Installations (Bureau des installations classées), which comprises certified inspectors from the Southern Province Natural Resources Division (Direction des Ressources Naturelles - DRN) and the New Caledonia Mines and Energy Inspectorate (Direction des Mines et de l’Energie de la Nouvelle-Calédonie - DIMENC). The industrial operator will respond to any request for specific monitoring and will comply with all requirements.
